5 Tips to Have Your Best Day Everyday

5 Tips to Have Your Best Day Everyday

You should always strive to make daily improvements. Whether you?re trying to improve your 40-yard dash time, learning a new language, or increasing the weight that you bench press; you need to constantly progress. Momentum is the key to this...

Have you ever watched a football game where one team goes the entire game without scoring a touchdown and then in the final three minutes puts up 21 points to win the game? It happens all of the time. It is a psychological phenomenon known as momentum.

Physically, the difference between the first and last place team is not that dramatic. They usually average around the same height, same weight and run similar 40-yard dash times. The difference is mental. This explains short-term momentum.

Long-term momentum can involve winning and losing streaks. My daughter played on a soccer team that was undefeated for over a year. Then they lost a game and fell into a slump where they lost five straight games to the same caliber teams! Why is this? Momentum.

So how do you gain momentum as soon as the day begins? In this article I will outline 5 simple ways to tip the scale in your favor and have your best day ever everyday, period!

5 Keys to Success and Happiness

Tip #1 - Wake Up and Smell the Roses

This is something that I learned from my late-training partner Lin McAteer. He told me that one way to have a great day is to wake up, and before even getting out of bed to pee or roll over to dry-hump your significant other, you should think about what is good in life.

For example, having healthy children, a roof over your head, a loving husband or wife or anything positive. I do this this every day and find it much easier to drag my aging butt out of bed. Positivity is a key driver for success!

Tip #2 - Set Short and Long-Term Goals

Getting up and doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is literally the definition of insanity. Without goals, we do not have anything to strive for.

A short-term goal can be anywhere from a week to a year. For example, waking up earlier, keeping a better calendar, winning a bodybuilding show, running a 5k -- All short term goals. Long term goals would be winning a pro card in bodybuilding, being a millionaire by 40 years old and big picture things like that.

I encourage everyone to write down short and long term goals and post them somewhere that you see them like on your refrigerator or some other frequently seen place.

Tip #3 - Health is Wealth

epic-gainsThe healthier you are, the better you will perform at everything! By incorporating whole, natural foods full of micronutrients and vitamins like can help improve your health, immunity and supply the macronutrients you need to be at the top of your game!

Lacking in any essential vitamin or mineral can cause issues with performance in the office and at the gym!

Note: MTS Nutrition has Machine Greens + Multi to supply this! And if looking for a meal or lean mass gainer that also has these benefits, Macrolution and Epic Gains BOTH contain multiple servings of fruits and veggies!

Tip #4 - Exercise for Career Gains

Meatheads? More like geniuses! University of Bristol researchers found that employees who trained before going to work or exercised at lunch performed better at their careers.

They also found that people's general mood improved on days of exercise, but they became less calm and more stressed on non-exercise days.

So not only does training make you sexier, it also makes you smarter! So being a ?DadBod? really isn't necessary to make career gains?it actually helps you perform better at work when you take care of yourself.

Profound, huh?

Tip #5 - Glass is ALWAYS Half Full

No matter how hard life gets, someone out there wishes they were in your shoes.

When I have a bad day I think about my hardest-working client ever. He had multiple strokes and after these strokes he started training with me and also obtained multiple degrees in multiple fields. I asked this great man, ?Why do you work so hard, what drives you?? He then looked at me between sets of incline bench press and stated simplistically, ?Because I can. And as long as I can do it, I will do it.?

Instead of feeling depressed, work to improve every area of your life and be GREAT! There is nothing that can stop you. ALWAYS goo 120%.
