Practical Programming at it's best
Massive Iron takes the guesswork out of weight programming. No need for working out crazy undulating percentages or ever changing rep schemes to 'confuse' your muscles. This is the most straightforward approach to getting bigger and stronger that I have read to date.

simple and brilliant
I'm not sure why I've never thought of the rep goal system, it makes so much sense. No longer do I waste my sets, but I maximize them all, great book with perfect pillars and guidelines, if you train the way this book tells you too, you'll get STRONG!

As expected from Tiger Fitness a quality purchase that echoes the professional and practical culture and approach of the company and team.

Massive Iron is a no nonsense training protocol that refocuses on what's important and removes set and rep distractions. The auto regulation of weight used and progression provides objectivity and confidence in workout to workout strength increases. Be prepared for a crazy pump as each set is pushed to it's maximum.

As with everything from Steve the book is comprehensive and written with clarity in a refreshing 'to the point ' style. First class stuff from Steve and highly recommended.

One of the best books you can read for training and life philosophies
I've had read nearly 50 books and been educated by many strength coaches, but Steve Shaws book delivered something I have been searching years for. This Book shows holds the no BS truth about strength training which can be adapted to every obstacle in life. Keep doing your thing Steve and keep the great content coming. A must buy if you are serious in starting/furthering your progress in the gym!

Great advice for any beginner/intermediate lifter!
Contains a lot of great advice on how to lift, eat, and how to tackle the grind.

Also, the routines inside of it are excellent. The 20 squat routine made my squat make a 25 lb jump in two months (as a late beginner).

Solid foundation
Excellent introduction to strength building and body shaping through incremental progression via the rep-goal system. It includes many example workouts but the system can be adapted to many other regimes. My key takeaway message was: why do a set if you don’t make it count. In a field where so much nonsense is spoken, Steve is a voice worth listening to.

Does this book include easy to follow templates or are is it more like Wendlers 5/3/1?

BEST ANSWER: I haven't read Wendlers 5/3/1 but this book has very easy to follow templates and multiple templates at that. It's a very good book and very basic nothing crazy. I'm constantly going back to it reading the different routines and ideas from it.
