The plant-based protein blend, rice meal, water and sunflower oil are mixed and fed into an extruder (think of like a pasta maker). High pressure and heat are applied before the blend gets pushed out of the extruder.

Once the crisp is extruded, the drop in pressure causes it to expand rapidly and twist a bit into their fun shape. Next it is cut in length, and then baked!
