A Look Inside Primabol
Primabol contains a compound called phosphatidic acid. Most of you know that the mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin) pathway is responsible for driving protein synthesis, and subsequently muscle growth. You also probably know that the
BCAA leucine is a powerful activator of mTOR. However, it’s not the only one. It just so happens that phosphatidic acid also activates mTOR. When you lift weights, muscle fibers are damaged. In response to this damage, an enzyme named phospholipase D senses this damage and produces phosphatidic acid.
Phosphatidic acid subsequently binds to mTOR, activating mTORC1 and stimulating muscle repair and growth. Research using resistance-trained athletes found that when they supplemented with Mediator® Phosphatidic Acid (the same kind used in Primabol), they significantly increased lean mass gains and strength. Test subjects also experienced a reduction in body fat, too.
